My high school principal really let me and the other members of the IT club spend €2000 on a new server without anyone reviewing the purchase at all. He was like “just remember to put out tenders to multiple companies so it’s all legal!” They also let us run the official school website with basically no oversight. The site did get hacked once but we fixed it up (cough) after a couple of weeks.
