White Room 1: Jason and Bernard
"“How long did Tim say he’s gonna be?” asked Jason, breaking the silence. Bernard, sitting on the other end of the couch, startled and answered, “Eh… about… two and a half hours?” Jason looked at his watch, found that they just wasted a mere 30 minutes, and groaned. “And with traffic nowadays, at this time of day, it’ll be taking him longer.” “Don’t you Robins have grappling hooks or something?” Jason gestured at Tim’s grapnel, lying on a rack on the other side of the room. “I see.”"
Two unlikely people stuck together for some hours. No suspense, no threats – except maybe from death of boredom. What will they do? Sharing secrets? Spilling tea? Guessing who can do a headstand the longest? Or just plain silence? White room is a series of “experiment” attempts of bringing together two characters that have little to no interaction in canon. This is my means to learning to make dialogues/stories, and to making better sense of the characters. This is my first work of fiction I ever published; I would like you to give it some chance: you can read it here.
