Most iconic thing that happened to me whilst visiting Hi-Rez studios, was seeing a hat that had a giant "OwO" on it.
I am emotionally connected with that hat.
Lets Play - Realm Royale || A Game About Cock
Apex Legends
Can I just say... weâve all been waiting for the death of the Battle Royale genre for a while now.
Then, out of the blue, comes Apex Legends. It has minimal bugs. Itâs very polished. Pretty well balanced. Doesnât have an egregious micro-transaction model. And itâs... FREE!?
Normally, Iâm not a fan of EA. Their predatory practices in the industry have only gotten worse. This Origin Access bullcrap is an affront to the industry and is only the most recent bastardization of the pre-order/early-access schemes weâve come to see as standard practice in our industry. They have a crappy track record of how they treat their employees and a garbage customer service satisfaction rating.
All that aside, Apex Legends looks and plays incredibly well. Itâs fun and engaging and adds just a little bit tot he Battle Royale genre to make it feel unique without being too crazy (Realm Royale NEARLY had something similar, but Hi-Rez went and ****ed that all up).
Respawn devs have gone on record stating that EA was not allowed to give any feedback on the development of the game itself. I think this is one of the reasons the game turned out so well. I think it definitely has some staying power especially with the Battle Pass coming right around the corner in March. We all know gamers love their flashy cosmetics and if Fortnite is anything to go by the Battle Pass will help keep Apex Legends relevant for quite some time.
If you havenât tried it I definitely recommend it. I had some issues getting Origin to cooperate (thanks EA...) but once I was in the game I was definitely enjoying myself. Having been burned out on Battle Royale games I didnât expect much but I was pleasantly surprised. Iâm not going to review the game because plenty of other people out there have said anything I could but better.
Iâll just say this: if you can go to the official Apex Legends subreddit and NOT laugh deep from your gut at some of the crazy videos people have already uploaded then youâll probably be fine to skip it.
Hey everyone ! Been streaming on twitch a lot and I figured why not invite my day ones? If you have a twitch reply with your url or message me. I appreciate all the love and support đ

Me, when I play battle Royal games.

As of now...I have played 5 different battle royale games...and here is how I rank them:
Apex Legends - This game is just fantastic. I canât wait to see whatâs in store for it in the future. I am also glad that Respawn Entertainment finally has a hit. They deserved to have one with Titanfall 2, but EA fucked them over on that one.
Fortnite - This was a tough call at first, but I decided Fortnite deserved 2nd place over Blackout. Blackout is really just PUBG done right. Fortnite actually tries to do different things. And itâs constantly being updated and the cosmetics in the game are great. The only thing I donât like about it is the building mechanic.
Call of Duty: Blackout - Like I said before, this is just PUBG...but done correctly by professionals.
Realm Royale - I will admit I have only ever played like 2 matches of this game. But that was enough for me to know that I donât like it as much as the other games on this list...but itâs definitely better than PUBG.
PUBG - I am just going to be blunt...I think this game is almost trash. Itâs so poorly done in so many ways. Especially the way in which the movement feels sluggish and floaty at the same time. Having to always reload you weapons as soon as you pick them up. Having to hold a button down to reload instead of it just reloading when you tap it. The battle crate system is terrible. The fact that they charge for battle passes for a game that already cost $30. Itâs just a poorly made game...and I am shocked that it was ever a success.
