Made it to the top of Table Rock with Raven & friends 

(One of her friends was born in 1991, which made me die a tiny bit inside, since I graduated fucking high school in 1992. Oy.)

I'm Boise's unofficial ambassador to Table Rock. I haul everybody up to the top with me. With sandwiches from the Co-op. Perfect evening.

Are the dark chocolate frogs vegan? It would be cool if the ingredients were listed on the pre-order page.

They are vegan! We’ll be listing the ingredients on the pre-order page as soon as we double check with the distributor that every detail is correct. Owl post is lagging in the northeast because the poor owls’ toes keep freezing and dropping parcels mid-flight. But thanks for asking and maybe slip the owls some of your warm butterbeer if you see them.

You don't have to say my name, but re-blogging my shit is personally looking at me. Whether you look at another blog to respond to it or not. Not to mention the fact that you try to demonize whites, so now it's a racial issue. Do I need to name drop various minority vegans to have credibility? You're personally calling white vegans racist essentially. I'm white, I'm vegan. Ralph agrees with civil rights and animal rights being linked. Now is your "only whites say this" argument false?

Only people that have the privilege of disassociating themselves from day to day struggles of race and identity politics have the ability or want to say that the struggle for human civil rights and the struggle for animal rights are completely analogous. Similarities exist, but to present them as the same struggle is disingenuous, disenfranchising, offensive, and pejorative, whether that was the intent or not. Vegans of color exist, that was never my argument, my argument was that they would not present the two struggles as equitable. I stated that framing the issue in that way is racist, never once saying that any one person or any one group of people were in fact racist. To say that the dehumanizing effect of criticizing one's dietary choices, which was never done within the context of the argument or at any point by me, is as detrimental to the human experience as a direct and systematic affront on an individual's personage is just downright wrong.

If you want to discuss this privately, on a personal level, even in person, I'm more than willing to keep this dialogue open.

The number of posts you've made against various parts of vegetarian culture cannot be taken as anything except personal at this point. One or two posts, maybe not, you consistently post against it. I do not argue with people about animal rights because I don't think it will change their views. I simply keep up my own lifestyle & help anyone interested. But I'm arguing with you because you are not respecting veg, you are personally attacking people who are veg. Acknowledging & insulting a culture

Going through my posting history since I started my tumblr, I see four posts in total that can be seen as critical of vegetarians in any way. The first, critical of the view held by people, meat eaters included, that hunting is merely for the joy of killing. The second, calling people out for calling for people to have their children taken away for participating in what turned out to be conservationist efforts. The third, posting my opinion and experiences with the cost of food and being able to eat 3 vegan meals a day for $3. The fourth, taking issue with the direct comparison of the animal rights movement with various civil rights movements and slavery. Never once a personal attack, or even a direct criticism of either vegetarianism or veganism. Never once criticizing anyone's dietary choice. Never once saying or even implying anything close to stating that people who choose not to eat meat are somehow wrong or misguided, or advocating that they start eating meat again. Four posts, in over a year and a half.
