wip cameo tag game !!

ooooo @aetherwrites just tagged me in a really fun game, thank you for tagging me!!

rules: congrats! your book has been adapted into a movie or show! what background character are you going to play for your cameo? and what visual medium would best suit your book?

ok, so since i visualize most of my scenes cinematically anyway, i've thought about this a lot!! i'm thinking a ten episode mini-series would be good for Reanimatology, taking inspiration from The X-files and Twin Peaks for shot composition, color palettes, etc. since those were pretty influential to me. lots of silhouette shots and g r e e n everywhere. and i think a cross between the opening credits of both Stranger Things and Re-Animator would make for a killer intro sequence (if you haven't seen re-ani, it's one of my fav horror movies, but its pretty gore heavy so just a warning to anyone who gives it a try!!).

as for my cameo, pulling a stan lee and showing up in every one of my works is the dream. so i think i'd want to appear as a cadaver, as sort of a one-off gag for anyone who knows i wrote the book. i think that would be fun!!

Wip Name Change !!

reanimatology -> a study on reanimation

fun fact my main wip has had quite a few titles over the near three years i've been working on it!! here's a short list of them:

reanimatology: the one you all know, it's kind of a mouthful

new age necromancy: i liked this one but the story’s more about the symptoms of reanimation and the character relationships rather than the actual necromancy, y’know?

the modern lazarus: look i love religious symbolism and references to frankenstein but this felt a little too heavy-handed lmao

that being said i really like this new one!! i've wanted to change it for a while, and with the changes i've been making behind the scenes, "a study on reanimation" just feels right. here's to the revamp!! cheers!!
