silly silly. i'm still figuring out diver's personality but of course i am a sucker for comic relief characters who hide everything behind jokes so ;] also still not completely satisfied with this mutated!simon design but i've been fiddling with it for the past two weeks and finally i just said fuck it (that comic took forever omg) so here it is!! enjoyyyy

DIVER

The Diver is a crewmate aboard The Towship; in addition to their regular duties, they are stationed as part of an emergency plan for sub recovery. In the event that the primary methods fail, The Diver is tasked with entering the blood ocean in a special, pressurized suit and reattaching the towline by hand.

They have never had to carry out this plan before, but with the recent loss of Captain Ava and no Hemorovers available, they will have to brave the red depths to try and salvage as much as possible— their captain’s remains included.

Curiously, they never seem to take the suit off. If what they found on the SM-13’s black box is true, that might be for the best. . .

I’m watching Frankenstein 2025 and I do think the Creature is a great way to see Simon.

Like he was created and molded into a monster, but he is naturally gentle and curious. He has anger that drives him to kill because he was TAUGHT violence. But those that give him understanding, he is soft spoken and holds hope for something better.

They both were remade by some “god” that only cursed them to live in a body that was torn to shreds and wrongly put back together. Denied personhood, just wanting to live, suffering from those that shifted the narrative and pointed the finger.

My god. They even look the same.
