Realizing Alan had heard his exasperated sigh William swallowed, his hand automatically reaching to adjust his glasses. He hadn’t meant Alan to witness his impatience. Focused on the endless reports on his desk, he hadn’t been aware of Alan’s presence until he had spoken.

“Humphries,” William greeted finally, underlining yet another section in red. “Please come in.”

It had been a normal day for Zach at the bookstore he owned. It was a busier day which was good and put the fallen angel in a good mood. By the end of the day, Zach said goodnight to his employees as they all left for the night and headed home. He locked up the store and headed towards his apartment. He was looking forward to getting home and relaxing since he was off the next day. As he headed home, he failed to notice that there was someone following him. There wasn't anyone really around due to how late it was, so the man came up behind Zach and knocked him unconcious. The man called some people and a van drove up and they took Zach to a building where he'd be sold as a slave. When Zach awoke, there was a collar around his neck and he was chained to a wall.
