10) write in silence or with background noise? with people or alone? I prefer background noise, and the second part I’m not sure what that means. with people around or working on a piece together? I don’t mind people around; I love being in cafes. but I don’t like working on something together.

15) why did you start writing? because I had a story to tell.

“Wait–” Poppy says, pulling away for a second. “Ellie, does this mean–?”

“I like you. I like you so much. I like you more than I’ve liked anything in my entire life,” Ellie tells her. And she’s sure. She’s sure of how she feels about Poppy. She’s sure that no matter what happens now, this girl is the first person she’s ever loved.

(from i’m sure of you - the reason I’m particularly proud of this is mostly because this was my first stab at writing from ellie’s pov and I think for her, being sure of anything is difficult. I think she always feels a little insecure, uncertain, and I love the idea of her finding some stability in her relationship/friendship with poppy.)
