Okay, but I’m getting to the point in my story where I’ve got way too many words to not have a proper outline or world-building, or have a characters list...
In other words, gotta stop writing the story and spend a day or two figuring out the background.
Fun, but how will I get back to writing after?
So, I’m cleaning up my dash (i.e. unfollowing blogs that aren’t active anymore or blogs whose fandoms I’m not into anymore) and boy... I spent the last half an hour unfollowing about 300 blogs. Like, I’m finally going to be able to see my mutuals on my dash again. It’s kind of freeing tbh.

1. What is your favourite book and/or book series of all time?
Are you really going to make me choose? That’s evil! I have so many... Okay, so Harry Potter definitely has to be in the top 5. I adore that series for so many reasons. Another one is the Runemarks/Loki series by Joanne Harris - honestly, it is the best mythology based fiction I have ever read. If you haven’t read it, give it a try, it’s awesome! I’ve just started reading Game of Thrones as well, and it is definitely my cup of tea, so that’ll go on the list as well. As you can probably tell I prefer series. :P More to enjoy and more to read/write fanfiction about.
5. What book or book series would you like to see turned into a film/TV series?
The above mentioned Joanne Harris series. With a budget like Game of Thrones, preferably. I mean, it’ll never happen because Marvel’s Loki is so popular that probably no one would pick up a series about a different version of Loki, but one can hope... Also, there’s heaps of characters in different locations, so it would be real fun to watch it come to life on screen.
9. What is a book you have read that is set in your country of birth?
Well, that gave me pause because there’s not that many... One that I really love is called Abigel by Magda Szabo. It is about a teenage girl in Hungary during World War II whose father is in the army and sends her away to a rural boarding school. She tries to escape a number of times and is awful to the other girls, but in the end comes to realize how serious the war is and that she is safest at the school, so she makes friends and decides to stay. But her fiance wants to sell her out to the Germans to compromise her father and ends up forcing the school to close just to get to her. So she gets new papers (new name, new birthdate, new family) and ends up leaving the school with a nun who taught her and one of the male teachers - they’re posing as a family. She doesn’t hear from her father by the end of the story, so presumably he is dead or captured. It is a bit depressing, but it is really really well-written and I like dark stories anyway, so it’s right up my alley. And I stumbled upon it via another Hungarian musical, unsurprisingly.

In other news, world-building for Tiny Dragon Adventures is going well this weekend. I also managed to break it into small chunks and not get overly immersed in it, so hopefully I can get back to the story easily enough when Camp starts.
I also realized I’m a plantser, so it will be more helpful if I have the barebones background written down and then go from there. Which makes me happy because I like to get surprised while writing.
Can I start praying to the gods in my WIP to give me some motivation? I’ve done half an hour of world building today and all I want to do is go and watch Game of Thrones...
Hi! Welcome to Writeblr! Tell us a little something fun about this tiny dragon! Do they like to travel?
Hi! Sorry for not answering this sooner, I was sick for the last few days and wasn’t on here much.
Yup, the tiny dragon definitely likes to travel! He has a pair of wings, but because he’s so small he cannot fly large distances in one go. He’s very quick though, so he can get out of trouble most of the time (it does help that dragons are a fairly rare sight and most people get shocked when they take a proper look at him). He’s very social, but most animals are scared of him (except for cats), so he tends to seek out humans instead. Not that he’d admit it, but he likes to spend time with Llynsa, and enjoys being at markets in bigger cities because he can observe people without having everyone gawk at him.
He’s also very attached to his gold coin. He takes it everywhere and guards it as his hoard - it did not really occur to him that he could amass a bigger hoard at markets where there’s more gold coins to be had... He just likes to keep his special coin close and fights anyone who wants to take it away.

6. What is your favourite stand-alone book?
Jane Eyre. I fell in love with it when I was 9 (and read it so many times that my best friend would pick a scene and I could open the book at the right pages) and I have reread it many many times since. I have seen a good number of tv/movie adaptations of it as well. I mean, my favourite fairy-tale was always Beauty and the Beast, and Jane Eyre has a lot of motifs from it. I have several copies in multiple languages of the book. I’m trying to get good enough at German so I can read it in German one day.
14. What book gives you happy memories?
A lot of my childhood books - but most of those are in Hungarian, so I doubt people would know them. An English one would be A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I read it when I was 12, after my mom took me to the musical version of it in Hungary, and I have heaps of good memories of friendships, summer storms and creativity connected to that book. Not really because of the story itself (although it is still my favourite Shakespeare play), but just because of the really happy time in my life that I had when I first read it.
34. What is the newest book you have bought?
Hahaha, never ask a university student that! It is a book called A History of the Muslim World to 1750: The Making of a Civilization by V. O. Egger. It has been published about 2 months ago,so it is brand new to everyone, not just me! It is one of the required textbooks for the history course I’m doing right now. I mean, it’s easy to read, and it’s interesting, but it was more than $100, so I definitely felt a bit queasy when I bought it...

Thanks for the ask! I got so caught up in studying I only got to this now, but here we go:
49. What book has inspired you?
Well, the first book I remember reading that had a lasting effect on me was Jane Eyre when I was 9. I started writing a sort of fanfiction of it when I’ve head enough of rereading it. I think I put Jane in another dimension with good and evil fairies and the only was she could get back home was freeing Rochester from the evil fairies. It was long ago though, so I can’t remember... It wasn’t much - I think I only got down about 5 pages, and as you can see, those weren’t too original, but it was the first time I put words on paper to try and create a story.
