I thought of you the instant I saw last night's episode. How're we doing? What are our feeelings?

tbh it does not feel real. My expectations to see Plagueis in anything (especially as a muun!) have been so low for so long, it was a genuine surprise.

Hype aside, the only thing putting a dampner on it is The Acolyte overall has been....really underwhelming for me. I was expecting a real dark sider/Sith show through and through but it never really felt like that until the second half. It introduced some really fascinating stuff, but I feel like it needed the time and care on the level of Andor for it all to be explored properly.

The set up for a potential season 2 looks promising. But if it happens, I wanna see Plagueis be more than just a figure in the shadows. I wanna see what his pre-Sidious life is like, what's going on in his head, what he's trying to achieve at this point in time. They need to go really deep into his character, because one shot of him peaking out from a cave isn't gonna keep me hyped forever.

Feel like my general policy is to do the same for Anakin/Vader for Ben/Kylo. Anakin is Anakin until he kneels before Palp and is Vader until Luke takes the mask off. Ben is Ben until probably midway through the comic and is Kylo until like the Exegol stuff in TROS. Everything else is Kylo and the name change def doesn't exempt him from jack

I feel like this is a good way to go, tbh. I tend to do the same generally. I’m just hate the “ben bridal carrying rey as he kidnaps her uwu” like taht shit .... is a def no go.

I'm so curious what your thoughts are for this movie. You're probably the biggest Palp fan I know and I'm really hopeful that it gives you something fun to latch onto. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm nervous and excited at the same time. Expecting the worst, hoping for the best, y'know? Anyways, just saying hi.

Hi Nic!! Thanks, I think when it comes to Palps it’s going to be enjoyable but also change certain things about the character forever and I just can’t get my head around it at the moment. I’m hoping that when I actually see the movie those things will make a little more sense to me. 

Overall my excitement is kinda muted at the moment  (I think that’s partly my own fault for reading so many spoilers which I never did for the previous films.) but like I said, I wanna go in with an open mind and hopefully I’ll enjoy most of it for what it is.

LMFAO not sure how you can have known me for so long and not guessed that i always go for moody...in reality patrick and i were searching for a new show to watch and death note had been on my list for a while. it’s anime so we thought it would be easy and lighthearted. we were fools. we spend an hour after each episode staring at the wall in confused silence.
