Ngl one of my top 1 critiques for deltarune is the fact that papyrus still isnt there, im not a super papyrus fan or i want him in deltarune but i feel like he has wasted potential, papyrus does deserve his character development just like gerson did, and gerson before chapter 4 was the most forgettable character ever. I feel like toby doesnt want or doesnt know how to even get papyrus to enter without being too much of a problem for the story but imo paps just like gerson can have his character writing, afterall in deltarune hes a pretty relatable character for most ppl (not everyone) if u think abt it, hes an introvert whos kind and believes everyone can always change. Like cmon dude in chapter 5 when i discovered he wasnt even at the festival it was just sad, it could have been a clear chance for pap to find friends but nope; and in the weirdroute guess what, susie forgets about him completely like he doesnt exist but sans gets more character writing this time (which i mean isnt bad because sans seems to be an important character in the bad route more than normal) but i feel like paps character is pretty blund, it would be pretty cool to see him in chapter 6 like if noelle makes a fountain because rudy is dying and pap and other ppl were there cuz of checkups or random reasons and get in the darkworld and we finally get (js like gerson) something from papyrus. Like papyrus and ralsei could work as character interaction since both share the same feelings over things. Idk tbh it feels like papyrus is left behind and is just very very lonely (art not mine btw)
