Isolation by Bex-Chan it's a dramione fic ... one of the most beautifully penned, descriptive and poignant fic I have ever read... the roller of coaster of emotions the author took me through and the way you get submerged in the world she so masterly weaves ... the intensity and beauty of her words was just awe inspiring ... I was truly impressed...

I've been struggling with reading hp fanfic bc Rowling is absolutely vile, but I'm coming around to the idea that she would be horrified by most of my favorite works and she is certainly not making money off of them, so need to get back into it.

The best fics definitely take you on a journey, mixing laughter and pain.and.everything in between. Give me some pretty words.on top of that and I'm sold hah. I will have to give this one another chance!

Ok so

Headcanon A:  realistic

So I have realized in a show about the shadowed underbelly of the Real World™ being a supernatural hellscape, Realistic headcanons rarely ever have to play nice with Canon so: Katherine actually knew where her daughter was all her life??? Nadia didnt just pop out of nowhere, Katherine kept track because she *is* that competent, and I refuse to believe she didnt check on her baby and do everything in her power to keep Klaus away from her throughout her baby’s life and she also kept track of her baby’s descendants from afar to keep track of dopplegangers, so you know none of that Nadia drops out of the fucking sky and goes Mommy! [grabby hands] at Katherine bullshit is accepted in this part of town because truly what Even in the everlasting fuck was that part of canon.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Katherine is constantly breaking her heels because no matter what Modern media catered to the male gaze says about Femme Fatale’s HEELS JUST ARENT FUCKING MADE FOR FIGHT SCENES, so yeah when her life is perpetually dropped right into the middle of a fight scene, 5 times out of 10 she comes out with a broken heel either accidentally or because breaking off the heel and stabbing someone with it is a damn good move. Also for someone who is technically supposed to be constantly on the run, heels are a Terrible executive choice, no matter how fucking sexy they look on her omg 

Although I do the think that her vampirism keeps her immune from painful ankles and toes from heels so hmmm maybe it’s an ok-ish executive choice.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Ok this is a pretty basic headcanon, actually i think it’s canon and I’m only expounding on what we already know so Idk if this counts but well here we go:

Katherine Pierce actually wasn’t always running, at least not every minute of every day of her life; sometimes she would settle for a decade or two in one place, fall in love with that place, the people, the atmosphere, the life there and finally gets a taste of belonging that she let’s settle in her bones, that she allows to be the beginning edges of a place she can call her home, and she does do it: make that place her home before Klaus ruthlessly makes himself known in her vicinity and she’s forced to abandon Home again, because Klaus essentially wanted to inflict the same pain Mikael inflicts on him by hunting him across the world and keeping him prey and rootless; a miserable existence that in his eyes Katherine prolonged by not being the ritual sacrifice. Her punishment wasn’t her being unable to ever truly call a place home and put down roots, it was that she’d make a home everywhere she went, she’d find solace and comfort and a sense of belonging there before she’s ripped away from it, because sometimes it is worse to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

This is soooo unrealistic, like it’s the Most feel good fairytale-esque cloyingly sweet Nothing Bad Ever Happens HC I have that metaphorically puts canon through a wood chipper, takes out the chippings to carve into wooden figurines that I use as toys to move around my mindscape HOWEVER I WISH but it gives me the best of the best of GOOD FEELS SO I AM HERE FOR IT.

Caroline and Katherine and Bonnie and Rebekah ARE BESTIES FOREVER AND EVER AND I SERIOUSLY DO NOT CARE WHAT ANYBODY SAYS THIS IS THE WAY OF MY WORLD AND I WILL FIGHT PEOPLE ON THIS [Jk I wont cuz their opinions dont actually matter in my world] they become bffs after Katherine loses the cure in her blood and starts aging and Caroline tries to give her the best end-of-her-life experience ever because she does feel sympathy for the girl and also because Caroline hates to admit this but she’s secretly thankful not to katherine but to the universe that Katherine turned her, so she is her bubbly sunshine self and hauls Bonnie and Katherine on a cross country girls trip which then escalates to a europe trip which then escalates to a world tour because somewhere along the way they find a solution to stop Katherine’s aging and she is back to being her usual unassailable self, but she’s fallen in love with her girls so she stays with them and theyre all bffs forever BECAUSE I LOVE ME SOME GIRL LOVE AND I WILL TAKE ALL OF IT and then when KC slowly starts happening all over the world [you know Klaus “accidentally” running into Caroline every two years and them fucking for literal weeks on end before they both part ways knowing they’ll always find their ways back to each other oof *dreamy sigh* ] Caroline makes it very very clear Katherine is Family and if he wants a chance with her he has to promise he’ll drop his stupid 500 years of unrelenting revenge plan and not harm a hair on her head, and so THERE Katherine truly earns her freedom back by choosing to stick with Caroline. Also somewhere along the line during the world touring these three girls meet rebekah and see that she’s being extra bitchy towards them because obviously Rebekah wants in on the group but doesnt actually know how to do it so she’ll insult them to their faces repeatedly as one rationally does when trying to make friends but then these girls have dealt with one supreme mega bitch already and talk Bitch quite fluently themselves [I maintain Caroline and bonnie can be bitchy and petty as fuck when they want to be AND GOOD FOR THEM] and they just forcibly pull rebekah into the group by insulting her back and being there for her, ANYWAY THESE FOUR GIRLS LITERALLY WOULD DIE FOR EACH OTHER And are the Epitome of found family, theyre so so so tight and have each others back eternally [yes bonnie is an immortal witch fight me] AND I WILL ALWAYS SIGH LIKE A PROUD MOM WHEN I SEE THEM HANG OUT IN MY MIND AS BFFS Because look at my cuties!!!! Theyre so supported and well cared for and loved by each other [fans eyes]
