(i love your rant, the writing was pretty bland) only really liking the death scene and the Mary/Sherl/John part. everything else was kinda lame….but the time period to heal was too short? he got out of bed after a week. willed himself out, then collapsed after being out of bed for about 5-8 hours? that's too short?

Thank you. I was frustrated when I wrote that and I think I could have worded it better but I still stand by it. The writing was pretty sloppy.In ACD’s books, Sherlock’s return marked a huge change in the way he wrote. The writing got worse because ACD didn’t want to bring him back and was resentful. I feel like Moffat is disrespecting the veiwers by doing the same. And the obvious fan references are unfair not only to the fans they’re making fun of (because i feel like Anderson is just a mean spirited rendering of the fans), but also the many viewers that aren’t in the internet fandoms but still tune in. Don’t even get me started on the medical side of things. Where he was shot, and the trauma his body had to deal with killed him. Killed him. Now, he was resuscitated (I’m pretending it happened like that because his magic “I must save John” crap is just stupid), but he still would have been incredible weak and reliant on medical care. I know he was weaning himself off the morphine (they wouldn’t have put a drug addict on morphine anyway but whatever), but it still feels like it shouldn’t have happened like that.

And its not even that, its the way he collapsed right on cue. There was barely any indication that he was struggling enough to collapse like that- apart from Benedict’s acting- there was nothing in the writing to suggest he was even in any pain.

I appreciate that it may seem plausible, but I have actually known people who have dealt with gunshot wounds similar to Sherlock’s, and know people who have been resuscitated, and he would have collapsed a lot earlier.
