A little while back I ordered a commission from the wonderful talented Cyn (check out her stuff on Twitter) and when it came time to decide what I wanted, I thought back to one of my favorite moments in Reconfiguration: The pinky swear scene in Chapter 7. And she did an absolutely wonderful job with it, it’s absolutely adorable.

I ended up giving reference for Yuuki’s Aincrad outfit from a design on one of the CCGs, and I really like the way it turned out. Honestly, there’s something absolutely thrilling about seeing your words translated into a visual medium and I’m so happy to share this with everyone who’s been following along with the story!

P.S. - After November ended up being more NaNoWriNope for me, I’ve got the next chapter moving along and I’m actually really happy with the first section.

Chapter Excerpt:

“You’re cheating,” Yuugi accused, frowning as he got his twelfth z-shape in a row, what the–

“I would never do that, aibou.”  

Yuugi nearly dropped his controller, the urge to glower at Atem for such a boldfaced lie when he was doing it right then almost too much to bear.

But he didn’t give into it. He’d have to look away from the screen to do that, or at least pause.

And he was going to win.

And their Tetris game was going so fast that he could barely speak without losing focus. He definitely couldn’t afford to look away. Couldn’t afford to lose focus.

And yet.

I said I’d do it. It’s been 3 months, but I’m still gonna do it. I’m adapting That Scene from Chapter 12 of Reconfiguration by @ygospamproduction. I’m actually grateful that I didn’t start doing it right away. It gave me time to plan and practice.

This is going to be LONG. I’m estimating about 20 pages, so I’m gonna post them as I finish a set instead of waiting for the whole thing to be complete. Each set will be 3-4 pages so we’ll be doing this for a while.
