Day #3139 Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Almost a decade ago when I worked at MySpace I Started a Show series called MySpace Secret Shows”. I tried to bring great bands to great fans and skip the big giant (physical & mental) barriers that sometimes come between that to me, make great experiences and performances. I was a big @wearephoenix (still am) even when the first record came out until now I had seen them every single time they came to town. But knowing this record was gunna make them huge, I took this opportunity to create my own destiny. Had them play at the Record Bar in Kansas City (capacity, maybe 200?) @mcfetridge agreed to do some beautiful poster art and my man @vahalla printed them flawlessly. @aaronfarley and I were immersed in the crowd the whole night (I’m back there somewhere). It was a fucking blast, great crew, fun night, epic performance. Why am I waxing?.. cause that’s where this shirt came from. That’s what I like about band merch, each shirt no matter how ugly, dirty, torn, perfect, clean, offensive...they all hold a little time capsule about them.
