Thank you for clearing that up. I'm glad you were kind about it, because I honestly wasn't sure if it was a joke or not. :)
<: you’re welcome! i’m glad we cleared that up! have a great weekend ahead! <3
That Savasana reply was a joke, right?
no, it is not.
savasana is said to be one of the most difficult yoga asanas because you literally have to lie there and do nothing. we are so used to being stimulated, and even over stimulated, because of the fast paced lives that most of us lead, and habits that we have (such as watching TV, using our gadgets, etc). because of that, sometimes it is difficult for us to really sit down, and just be present. being present means not to worry about the future, and not be bogged down by the past. to let your thoughts come and go like a flowing river.
to me, it is easy to say what i should be doing in a savasana, but when it comes down to actually doing it, it is difficult. it is difficult to just lie down on your mat, and just be.
savasana is the most difficult asana for me because i fully experience the fact that we feel different on our yoga mats every day. on some days i can fully focus on my breathing and on other days i fidget and my mind keeps wandering to what is going to happen or what has happened. sometimes savasanas feel painfully long, but sometimes i get lost in that space and being in the present that i forget to come out of it.
i could’ve answered that question with any other fancy asana, but as i’ve mentioned in a post before, yoga is not just about nailing a fancy-looking asana. to me, my yoga is about bringing that learning and attitude off the yoga mat and improve the way i live, and the way i love and live with other people.
and if you’ve followed me long enough, you would know that i would never be sarcastic or dismissive to anyone’s asks. <:
