বিশেষ সংবাদদাতা : ভারত রিসেপ চুক্তিতে (রিজিওনাল কপ্রিহেনসিভ ইকোনমিক ডিল) চুক্তিতে সই করল না। দেশের পণ্য বিপণনের ব্যবস্থার সুরক্ষা প্রশ্নে স্পষ্ট করে কিছু বলা নেই। এ বিষয়ে ভারত যে সব আশঙ্কা ও উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করে প্রশ্ন করে তার সদুত্তর নেই। ভারতের কৃষক, ব্যবসায়ী, প্রশিক্ষিত মানুষ ও শিল্প ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হতে পারে। শ্রমিক ও উপভোক্তার বিশাল বাজার মার খেতে পারে। ক্রয় ক্ষমতার নিরিখে বিশ্বে তৃতীয় বৃহত্তম বাজার ভারত। একবার চুক্তিতে সই করলে চিনের সস্তা কৃষি ও শিল্পজাত পণ্যে ভারতের বাজার ছেয়ে যাবে। আটকানো মুশকিল হবে।
চিন, ভারত, দক্ষিণ কোরিয়া,জাপান, অস্ট্রেলিয়া নিউজিল্যান্ড সহ ১০টি এশিয়ান গোষ্ঠীভুক্ত দেশ সহ রিসেপ গোষ্ঠীতে ১৬টি দেশ রয়েছে। প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি ভাষণ প্রসঙ্গে বলেন, ভারতের স্বার্থরক্ষার জন্য যে ব্যাখ্যা চাওয়া হয় তা চুক্তিতে নেই। তাই এর মধ্যে থাকতে চায় না ভারত।

India’s trade deficit with seven countries (Indonesia, Thailand, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand) of RCEP has in fact increased in 2017-18 as compared to the previous fiscal.
However, the trade gap has dipped with the remaining three nations – Lao, Brunei, Malaysia -in 2017-18.
