How can I describe Rec? This spanish found footage horror movie is fantastically terrifying. It is intense and many of the scenes will leave you feeling tense. I was often on the edge of my seat during this. With the handheld camera aspect you are thrown into the action where in this case zombies wanting to tear you to shreds. What i loved about this movie was that you hardly knew anything like what caused the zombies? When a reporter and her cameraman who are tagging alongside with fireman respond to an emergency situation. The situation turns deadly when they are locked in the building and the tenents start changing..... its a simple yet effective story. This to me really revamped the found footage genre and added another landmark in zombie horror. Manuela Velasco heads the cast as Angela. She is mostly on the camera, her reactions seem genuine and she proves herself a very talented actress. The zombie horror is done perfectly with the poorly lit apartments. I am giving this a 9.5/10 Viewer beware.......
