Akon is literally looking for things and stealing hearts out of dead bodies. In the name of science. And then if you watch the music video, it heavily features smoking, grungy rooms, dim lighting, and mahjong. I think that just about sums up Akon!

I could imagine it would be something like “We lost each other, and found each other again, and we are never going to be separated ever again”, for both of them tbh because their separation and reunion was so defining for them.

ngl, I think about this passage all the time: He tugs his bandana down over his mouth, and presses a kiss to her. The cold of her skin seeps through the fabric and burns his lips, but he closes his eyes and savors it for a moment before he limps a few steps forward. With a shaking arm, he raises Zabimaru for what he expects is the last time. Behind him, he hears Rukia’s skin start to shatter as she attempts to follow him. He can’t let that happen. “Tch. Alright you bastard, come on.”

also the Poetic in me thinks about how if rukia got scars from shattered skin they’d probably look something similar to the patterns of renji’s tattoos :’D

Renji tried to remember to breathe as he approached the table at the front of the room. In his hands, he precariously held a gateau flavoured with amaretto from the coast of France with a heart of dark chocolate shavings and served on a pear creme, mirror glazed with 14 karat gold.

Byakuya sat behind the display table, eyes coolly taking in the presentation. Then, with an understated regal elegance, he gently sliced a tasting sample combining all elements. His face remained impassive throughout the duration of the tasting while Renji began to feel a cold sweat.

“Hm.”

Slowly, ever so slowly, he extended his hand.

Renji’s eyes widened. The famously rare Byakuya Kuchiki hand shake-

-and Byakuya shook the hand of his sister, standing right beside Renji and proudly behind a tray of lopsided mufins.

Renji’s jaw dropped.

“Rustic,” Byakuya complimented, giving a sturdy handshake as his other thumb flipped up in languid approval.

Renji felt his entire life slip away at Rukia’s small, satisfied smirk.
