Couples questions for Cecio/Alejandro: 5, 10, 18, 26

5, How do they consciously realize that they like the other character? Does it take them a while?
Both of them realize they are interested in each other when they first meet- it takes a few hangouts for it to officially turn into dates but it's more because both are being cautious. They have a second realization, Alejandro when they have ended it and he realizes he misses Cecio as a friend and Cecio a while later catches himself being glad that Alejandro keeps managing to show up in his life despite everything.
10, What scares them about entering a relationship?
In the lead up to them starting dating Cecio is terrified of getting close with anyone he doesn't already know. He already knew better than to seek out romance/sex/friendship in Italy but there were a few incidents where he was lonely and ended up getting attacked/threatened which made him even more self isolating.
When it comes to being friends later, Cecios fear of physical attack dies down but he's terrified of someone learning more about him and being disgusted by what they find out, and his secrets aren't just his own, a lot of people could get hurt if they get leaked. Intimacy is hard for him with people he doesn't already know and he hatessss struggling.
Alejandro is also scared of letting anyone too close. He doesn't want to mix work and pleasure but he can't really have anything even halfway serious with someone who doesn't get his life and why he made his choices because of the amount of lies he would need to tell that would poison it.
18, They’re going through something incredibly difficult—perhaps they’re very sick, have lost a loved one, or have gone through a traumatic event. Do they ask for or accept support and care from their partner, or try to isolate themselves?
Cecio is usually fully on the isolation train but if it's really bad he will just kinda check out and not fight back against help which freaks out everyone especially Alejandro.
Alejandro often ends up seeking out help & comfort from Cecio, especially when it's something he doesn't want to let his family know about. Earlier on he does more isolation but it's less actively rejecting Cecio more they aren't in each others lives as much.
Both of them have pretty robust support networks of people they would likely go too first unless it's an issue vigilante/crime related they can't really talk about well with other people.
26, They have an argument with their partner—what is it about? Do things stay respectful, or is there some shouting and accusing going on?
Funnily enough they don't argue that often even with all the secrets. It's usually either Cecio lashing out at Alejandro because he's confused about why Ale cares to be his friend or Alejandro calling Cecio out for how he's seeking "justice". There are certain lines that aren't crossed but there's definitely shouting and digs going on. They also argue/bicker a lot for fun but it's quite different.
