The red clematis is blooming, and boy did it really go all out this year. This is really an exceptional number of flowers for this particular vine, and all of them haven't even opened up yet. Kizzle was delighted, as she is every year, not only by their wine red color, but also by the velvety texture of the soft petals. =)

We've had this lovely maroon-colored clematis vine for many years now, and it's still going strong! Kizzle adores both the rich color and velvety fuzziness of the petals, as well as the twisty way the vine curls around everything. She made sure to tell this vine that it's doing a very good job and wished it a happy little plant life. It seems to be living its best life, just like Kizzle. =)
