I loved absolutely breaking Nonoscribbles on AO3 by informing them that Red Data Children was promotional material and released (at least the first part) before the game did, with Rosé and Carmine showing up in promo art.

Yeah I don't fucking understand why either.

Context for those who don't know: RDC was a prequel to Solatorobo released in 3 parts in a magazine (I forgot which one) that introduces like 4 separate characters who are turbo important lore and story wise yet aren't mentioned in any way shape or form in the actual game because the two main characters who were present got their memories erased. Two of said four characters not in game don't even fucking show up again in any of the other LNs beyond one scene in a simulation, with the other two only popping up again in the radio drama, both in a flashback and at the very end of the story after being gone for like 8 fucking years.

And like, that's the spoiler free TLDR, getting into who, and more importantly, what they are makes things even fucking stupider for this to be promotional material

Red Data Children

I’m actually running out of content, but at least I’ve got this.

If you’ve been around long enough, you probably know about the prequel novel for Solatorobo called “Red Data Children”.

This prequel was only published in three different issues of the light novel magazine “Dragon Magazine”.

The story is mostly centered around the character Rosé.

Unfortunately, I do not have the skill required to translate this novel, but if anyone is up for it, just send me a message and I’d be happy to supply the pages for you.
