I'm so happy to participate in a Boktai-themed hashtag event for the first time. I appreciated challenging myself to make doodles in around one hour, even if I don't like rushing.🥰

🌹🦋🦇It's the same idea, but in two different pictures made in two different illustration programs. 🦇🦋🌹

Ever since I first saw the promo art for the Three Immortal Sisters in Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django ten years ago, I always wanted to see fan art like this. I could not help but perceive how fluffy Duneyrr's sleeves looked in the promotion art. Since Durathror is much smaller than her sister, I just wanted to see her wrapped in Duneyrr's fluffy sleeves like a blanket. I have waited for a picture like this for a decade and yet no one else made something similar, so I spent the same decade practicing making it myself.

Now I understand that Durathror may not be as close to Duneyrr as she is to their brother, but in all fairness, we may never fully know what the relationship of the Shadow Clan as a whole is like. Zoktai/Boktai 2, the game, didn't show much interaction between the members of the Shadow Clan, even though they call each other siblings; it mainly focused on Django stopping them one by one from fulfilling their evil plan. If we were to think about the siblings' bond, we must interpret that in our individual minds.

I wanted to make another anime-influenced poster for the Shadow Clan of Immortals; this time with cel shading.

While I have finished this other poster not too long ago, I wanted to make another "family portrait" anyway.

Last year I planned to start making digital paintings without an outline, so I tried practicing with Red Durathror.

Because the painting technique was difficult for me at the time, I found myself distracted with making more artwork. I came back to this painting after over a year and fixed the many flaws I have left in it. I thought she (sort of) came out nicely after taking the time to finish it.

I didn't like how this picture turned out and hardly worked on it the past ten months, but I decided to complete it today and get it over with.

Durathror was tidying up Duneyrr's short hair because she wanted to do something nice for her older sister. On the other hand, Duneyrr sat impatiently and pouted the whole time. As they deal with their business, Dvalinn watches her little sisters with a slight shed of amusement on her face.

Duneyrr's face originally looked different than it is now. I tried to fix it because it looked bland to me, but I accidentally made it worse and now her face looks smaller than her head. 😅

BOKTOBER 9th - "Night"

Decided to draw Red Durathror with some moon bugs for this one!

Pros to drawing Durathror:

Simple but cool character design!

Originally created in 10th May, 2019; finished in 5th October, 2019.

This is one of those works I did not complete for months this year. If I am free, I may wrap up the rest of my unfinished work before the year ends. If I do not finish them by December 31st, 2019, then I could get to them in 2020.

Black Dainn, the leader of the Shadow Clan and the "Brother," did not give Durathror or Duneyrr anything to do, so the sisters passed some time in the library. Durathror sat on the couch reading a book while a bored Duneyrr peered over her shoulder to see what she is reading.

Although Durathror was closer to Dainn than their other two sisters in the game, I just like making up some moments with them. The Shadow Clan just fascinates me that way.

I started with a colored doodle on the top left of my sketchbook about 3 months back. I took some time to think of a way to fill the rest of the page without ruining that beautiful little sketch. When I finally filled the page today, it came out nicely. I didn’t want to fill the page with one colored sketch, so I drew another one and colored it with markers. The paper wasn’t meant for using markers, but I managed to make it work.
