Star Wars Sundays: The cancelled LucasArts Darth Maul video game
One of the most unfortunate events that occurred when Disney acquired the rights to Star Wars was the dissolution of the great video game company, LucasArts. When this happened the projects that they were working on at the time got scraped, including 1313 (the rumored Boba Fett game) AND this awesome looking Darth Maul game from Red Fly Studios! Check out the images and videos below showing off…

Today's review has T-U-R-T-L-E Power! Intro Music: Partners in Kryme - Turtle Power Ending Music: Europe - Ninja
So guess what i've been playing for the last couple of days?
yeah. so you're probably asking if you haven't played it yourself, "well? is it good?" and i'm gonna say... yes and no.
i'll say it like this. from my standpoint, it's from an experience on steam though published by activision, the Game was developed by a small well known texas-based indie games company by the name of Red Fly Studio, known for the Ghostbusters game that came out in recent years. no, not sanctum of slime... the OTHER one.
the Title screen starts up with "T-U-R-T-L-E Power" by Partners in Kryme from the end of the original first TMNT movie, and it has alot of references and homages in here. the controls take a bit of getting used when it comes to fighting. i had to invert the camera to comfortably move it around during fights
the moves and combos are sweet though. it plays quite like arkham city, though arkham's countering controls are like.... way better
the story's ok so far. pacing not too bad either, it's all the nick tv show continuity only a few years older and a bit more realism to it, though the washed out comic panel cut-scenes make the turtles look positively gross-looking. speaking of which, let me just say this about people bitching about the new look of the turtles in this game:
you know they're mutated turtles right? the artist tried to made them look realistic... they could have made them look faaaaar more grotesque. be lucky. besides, we'll be getting skins later, don't get your panties in a wad.
the inter-character dialogue's pretty good. banter hasn't got stale or anything yet. but i imagine it will if mikey doesn't stop talk about fucking pizzas and toppings from around the world. and the turtles' really do feel different play-wise. their personalities like, really shine through their different fighting styles.
raph's style is this brutal bruiser style. he knees faces, headbutts, stands over guys and beats them unconscious.
donny's got this waify astute dorky monk esque staff style
Mikey's is incredibly flashy, and leo's is serious and traditional ninja-y"
and oh lord the taunts.
when they're not all spread all over the screen in different scraps and fights, and relatively close to each other, when you taunt they all do the vanilla ice ninja dance from tmnt II
it was so fucking cool. i laughed so hard.
there's a separate offline arcade mode, the only real downside atm is the online mode is currently nonexistent. you can't connect properly and games die out and crash before they're even connected or the screen gets stuck on the connecting animation.
something's bugging the online mode so i think we have to wait on a patch or update or something equally depressing. hopefully it will be fixed before the end of the weekend.
oh yeah did i mention beat producer Just Blaze did all music for the game and the soundtrack is awesome as fuck? all in all i'd say there's a good fun solid game in there, but you can tell it was abit rushed. hopefully Red Fly Studios and Activision can provide us with the patches we need soon to make this game crazy awesome like it deserves to be.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS -

The game will be developed by Red Fly Studios (Thor: God Of Thunder) and released on Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network and Steam this Summer.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle:Out of the Shadows
Activision and Red Fly Studio launched this summer Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. The game will be available on PC, Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. This is an online game for 4 players
It's the newest game of the turtles since the re-make of "Turtles in Time" Out of Shadows does not have a direct relationship with the Nickelodeon animated series that transmits and if you see the photos of the characters are not similar to the show but the game if inspired by it. As said earlier he will be available this summer.

Activision y Red Fly Studio lanzaran este verano Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.
