Raptormoms vacation headcanons bc I'm on vacation too

- VERY different ideas of a fun/relaxing vacation. They loosely take turns picking, but tend to just do different activities.

- Soyona wants to go somewhere hot, like a beach vacation, and lay in the sun all day

- Handler wants to go hiking, swimming or climbing, as long as she gets to do a sport, she's happy.

- Usually ends with Handler in the water all day while Soyona relaxes on the beach or one of these donut rings. The raptors flip her over periodically from below.

- Handler also takes Soyona on hikes, she'd rather do nothing on vacation but occasionally enjoys it.

- Do we WANT to know how much Soyona pays additionally to the already high prices to bring 4 raptors? No, no we do not.

- once got them into a non-pet friendly hotel she really wanted to stay at by arguing "Well, you can't make us leave this one at home, she's a service animal. And if she's staying, what's three more raptors?"

- Raptors are rideable. Like, the ok human weight to horse weight ratio for horses is up to 20%, and theirs is probably under 30%, so for short distances? Totally doable. Handler rides the raptors along the beach, they love it. However, she puts shoes on them because of the hot sand. Someone please draw raptors with little shoes <33

- They always have the water to themselves, most people leave when they raptors pull up.

- Salt water and chlorine are hell for your hair. Soyona is like "usually I tolerate your "3-in-1 shampoo, conditioner, body wash " lifestyle but I AM DOING YOUR HAIR THIS TIME." Actually Handler usually straightens it a bit because it's ever so slightly wavy and it annoys her, that's the only thing she does to her hair bc she can't be bothered, but Soyona now has opportunity to care for it properly and she's gonna USE IT

- Soyona also basically douses the Handler in sunscreen. She still gets sunburned, considering she's in the water or out hiking most of the time.

- Handler is definitely a hotel food hater. She's generally picky about what she eats, and restaurants are also loud and full of people, so Soyona just brings her food (she knows what she'll tolerate, even though she usually doesn't find something she really enjoys) They also pack beef jerky in advance.

- Raptors eat buffet leftovers that would be tossed. Soyona wonders sometimes if they have racoon DNA, they'll eat absolutely anything.

- Handler exclusively doggy-paddles, like the raptors. The other option would be riding one like a fucking Jetski, which is also a favorite of hers. She puts swimming vest with shark fins on them, both to hold on better and because she finds them funny.

- Soyona buys Handler expensive gifts when they go shopping while on vacation. Handler collects shells and cool rocks for Soyona.

- Soyona looks ABSOLUTELY FASHIONABLE in the morning: curls done, sunglasses that suit her and well-fitting swimsuits. Inevitably, Red will lick her hair or she'll get thrown underwater, and her hair is ruined.

- Soyona, at 40°C: "Wow, it's kinda hot outside!"

- Handler at 25°C: *melted on the floor*

- In the winter, they go hiking in the snow, or Soyona stays in the hotel for a spa day or smth

- Soyona can ski but the Handler can't, so she rarely ever does.They have tried to ski together (leaving the raptors at the hotel for once), but Handler is hopelessly bad at it.

- Yearly snowball fight with the raptors. Imagine getting a tail full of snow lauched at your face...they never win.

- Once genuinely got lost in the snow for a few hours. The raptors lead them back and Soyona spent the rest of the day wrapped in a blanket with hot chocolate (Handler has a really low body temperature and is fine with the cold in general, she thawed back to normal quickly.)

- They also build snow raptors when no one can see them, both are surprisingly good at it

- Clingy af Soyona who claims she's "just cold."

- Most hotel guest are absolutely terrified but there's always a few small children in their dinosaur phase who come up to them like : "Can I pet waptor?". If Ghost isn't working, they can pet all 4.

- Soyona's private plane is required for raptor transportation, they're ridiculously hard to get through TSA
