Happy New Year to all!
There are several horses at work that I just want to take home and keep as pets. One is old Red Pony. He's so old and so good.
Longmire (2012-2017)
I’ve been watching a bit too much ‘Longmire’, lol
It’s Talk About it Thursday! With...Shopkins Unicorns Re-Sculpt Improvement! Since last Thursday was pretty popular, here goes another (although it can’t happen every week--there’s not that much stuff) When toys get improved, it’s great to point it out! In this case, it’s the improvement of the Shopkins pony/seahorse/unicorn whatever they decide to use the ‘horsey’ head on. The earlier character (red) is the old mold (all shared this head) and it’s extremely pig like. There’s a clearly defined pig snout with hog nostrils on the direct front of the snout. The face is a ball/balloon with very front facing eyes. It’s not pony like at all. If you pushed a small snowball up to a big one, you’d have this face. Now look at the improved one. There’s no pig snout, the face slopes from back to front much, much better. The eyes are on the sides more, where they should go. The nostrils are moved into a better more horse-type position instead of a hog. There’s no balloon head thing going on where “everything is a sphere”. The neck is better too. It’s not a pencil neck like the other, which does contribute to an improved face. Is it still cute? Of course. Arguably, it’s cuter because different animals are supposed to look different. Horses aren’t smily-face emoji, they’re not dogs, they’re not pigs, they’re not hamsters. Are those things cute individually? Sure! Lil’ piggies and puppies and stuff are great, but that doesn’t mean everything should BE those things. Hopefully this improved face is what they use for any future line going forward. It’s still very ‘Shopkins’, but it’s more horse/pony-appealing.
