Chapter two of my birthday fic for redbeard-holmes is up!
sherlock and john at an amusement park and it's sherlock's first time so he insists on trying EVERYTHING; he stuffs himself silly on cotton candy, getting all sticky and sugary and john just laughs at how adorable his boyfriend is, and later they hit up the game stalls and of course john hits the target dead on and wins sherlock a bee plushie and they kiss on the train ride home because they're so so so happy
john waking up and getting ready to go to work while sherlock is still sound asleep, and john suddenly hears a soft 'john' come from the bed, and realising that sherlock is still asleep, he creeps over with a smile and begins to kiss the corner of sherlock's drooly mouth, his cheek, his temple, his hair, his chin, his ear until sherlock snuffles and wakes up, smiling in a way that makes john's heart ache as he grabs john around the neck and pulls him back into bed. needless to say that john was late for work that day
sherlock and john chasing a criminal and suddenly the guy stops and turns, pulling a knife on them with a grin as he lunges towards sherlock - but john is in front of sherlock in an instant, twisting the knife out of the criminal's grip and mercilessly whacking his head against the wall to knock him out; and when he turns back to sherlock to breathlessly ask if he is alright sherlock grabs his face and kisses him and kisses him and yeS THAT IS THEIR FIRST KISS
john feeding sherlock little bites of cake for his birthday and teasingly smearing the icing all over his lips so he can lick it off with his own and thEN THEY HAVE REALLY HOT LOVING GAY SEX
a few months after they get together it's sherlock's birthday and john bakes him his favorite lemon cake with candles on top and is all fond and smiling and dropping kisses onto the top of sherlock's head like "make a wish, sweetheart," but sherlock just blows out the candle without any pause and looks up at john and says "i've already got my one true wish"
