@rederiswrites I hope you are being appropriately grateful for being able to get straw from a neighbour and having a truck you can pick it up with.

I had to drive quite a distance to get some free old hay, and this is the inside of my car:

Trunk and back seat also filled to the roof, of course.

I had a - in hindsight - funny moment where I pulled into a grocery store parking lot to check something, and two cops on their way to buy lunch were giving me very suspicious looks. I did worry they would come check if my load was properly tied down (uh... somewhat), not too heavy (not a problem at least!) and I could properly see out the passenger side window (hahaha nope 😬)

Today, rain. Tomorrow, work. Sunday, potatoes!

Do your Rook and Bellara read serials together?

Yes they do!! Bryn finds them absolutely delightful, and they look for them together whenever they're both in Minrathous. At one point, they wanted to reciprocate with the Nevarran equivalent, but the closest they got to was finding academic disputes in various journals ksksks. They both had a lot of fun with those too - not only were there magical theorems ranging from funky to improbable-but-fascinating; but they also found cooky scholars trading absolutely SICK burns in very uppity language (citations included, of course).

Emmrich occasionally joins them, and if they ply him with enough schnapps, he will start laying out scalding tea over the ones he actually knew (whether in life or death) in his youth.

What is your Rook's favourite dish that Lucanis cooks?

Lucanis absolutely spoils them - Bryn is vegetarian, (I love the Make it Nevarran options) so I'd say Lucanis gets incredibly creative with meat replacements in main dishes. The things that man can do to cauliflower border on the obscene - whether it's baked with spices, covered in flaky sweet-and-spicy crust or dipped in whatever sauce he invents that day, if he announces he'll cook it, Rook is ready to eat the meal, the dish and maybe even the table.

Oh yikes!! I hope it'll be something readily fixable!

Thank you. It’s been over three hours since I heard from them last (my dad drove her in so she wouldn’t be alone), so I’m a bit worried.

I am but a humble scandinavian worried about my space cowboy dad, it’s rough to not get any sun for that long

(this really should be a thing for every human character who spends most of their time in space or away from sunlight, though -- are there sun lamps on spaceships?? star wars medical science is hilariously all over the place so it’s perfectly reasonable if they’ve got nutrition ~*technology*~ that takes care of that stuff for you and it’s also just as likely they don’t know what a vitamin is)

HA! I’m not technically even Scandinavian (officially Finland is part of Fennoscandia and the Nordic countries but sometimes people use Scandinavia to include Finland as well and it’s a mess) but this is very very true. xD I look so generally Nordic that one time a Danish person who was really tired spoke to me in Danish for solid three minutes and got mad at me for ‘being intentionally dense’ and not understanding until I went ‘I’M SORRY BUT YOU KNOW I’M A FINN RIGHT I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU’RE SAYING what language are you speaking; I thought I just can’t hear you so I went ‘huh??? like three times but you weren’t even speaking English this was amazing’’. This was after at least a month of us knowing each other but in her tiredness I looked close enough that her brain just went on autopilot and used her mother tongue. xD

(also here’s another picture of the new hair that makes me look blonder than I’ve felt in ages with the crappiest webcamera in existence just because I can. Excuse the bag of chips.)
