Making a separate post to talk about this again, because i'm still shooketh by the fact that you can date this conversation from two throwaway lines

(for anybody who hasn't seen the other post: The RMS Oceanic was only the largest ocean liner in the world from September 1899 to July 1901. With the additional context that Annabel and Lenore have just spent the summer together, this conversation can only be happening in the year 1900. With the additional context that the wedding was in winter, we can narrow Annabel and Lenore's deaths down to a three-month window.)

This is craft. To know so exactly when your events occur, and then adhere to it with this level of specific detail? They didn't need to do that, but they did. I'd bet money that this throwaway conversation topic was chosen specifically so that they could work in a date in a way that flies entirely under the radar unless you're specifically looking for it. That is the kind of writing finesse that i can only aspire to. *chef's kiss*

you should definitely go read it yourself. gives great insight into how nevermore is made. personally (this is my 'this is my opinion' alert), my two takeaways were:

WEBTOON is a horrible company

I know, shocker, but the billion dollar conglomerate is the problem. Red and Flynn have put all of their time into their comics, to the complete detriment of their personal life. Red acknowledges that this is something they've chosen and are okay with, but it's clear WEBTOON doesn't give a shit about the damage their fast schedule and lack of pay has inflicted.

Red really needs to stop reading the comments.

I mean this in the politest of politest things I've ever said to Red, but there are always going to be fans who see artists as nothing but machines. It's a problem that has gotten worse with generative AI. There will always be people speaking down on you, or complaining, and generally being nasty when you're trying your best. Please, please prioritize your mental health and the fact that you know you're a very proud person, and stop reading the comment section.

And this goes both ways! Anyone who plans to complain about upload delays in the future: they're just two people with lives. Be fucking kind.
