i only get webtoon notifications on my ipad, not my phone, cause I have a limiter on the app that makes it impossible for it to send out notifications. this is all to say that I didn't see red's post until today.
you should definitely go read it yourself. gives great insight into how nevermore is made. personally (this is my 'this is my opinion' alert), my two takeaways were:
WEBTOON is a horrible company
I know, shocker, but the billion dollar conglomerate is the problem. Red and Flynn have put all of their time into their comics, to the complete detriment of their personal life. Red acknowledges that this is something they've chosen and are okay with, but it's clear WEBTOON doesn't give a shit about the damage their fast schedule and lack of pay has inflicted.
Red really needs to stop reading the comments.
I mean this in the politest of politest things I've ever said to Red, but there are always going to be fans who see artists as nothing but machines. It's a problem that has gotten worse with generative AI. There will always be people speaking down on you, or complaining, and generally being nasty when you're trying your best. Please, please prioritize your mental health and the fact that you know you're a very proud person, and stop reading the comment section.
And this goes both ways! Anyone who plans to complain about upload delays in the future: they're just two people with lives. Be fucking kind.
