I wanted the portraits to be different from each other, taking heavy inspo from artists, Dave Mckean, aswell as other sources from the 80s and 90s
If I had to rank the characters from most fun to draw to least it’d probably be: Leander, Kuras, Vere, Mhin, and Ais
almost all characters have quotes except for Leander, since I liked the way that his bio omitted information in order to illustrate his ulterior motives
I wanted the quotes to come from unconventional sources that embodied the characters in some way
Each quote came from: The metamorphosis, Frankenstein, The Little Prince, and The Memory Police
Ais is supposed to look like he’s floating underwater, and originally I wanted all the characters to look like that but ended up scrapping that idea😭
