Celebrate Independence Day with these delicious BBQ stars, perfect for a festive and flavorful 4th of July cookout. The spray-painted stars add a fun and patriotic touch to your grilled chicken, making it a standout dish for your celebration.
Ingredients: 4 lbs boneless chicken thighs. 1 cup BBQ sauce. 1/4 cup olive oil. 2 tbsp honey. 2 tsp smoked paprika. 1 tsp garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. Star-shaped stencils.
Instructions: Combine BBQ sauce, olive oil, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the marinade. Place chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag and pour half of the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade and grill for 6-8 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred. During the last few minutes of grilling, place star-shaped stencils on the chicken and spray with the remaining marinade to create patriotic stars. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve the BBQ stars on a patriotic platter and enjoy your 4th of July celebration!
