Mit dem Update, welches heute im Mac App Store (MAS) aufgeschlagen ist, soll laut Aussage des Reeder-Entwicklers der Bug behoben sein, welcher Probleme beim Abspielen von Youtube-Videos verursachte. Bei mir war das Problem, dass in RSS-Feeds eingebettete Youtube-Filme bis zur 9 Sekunde abgespielt haben, und dann stehen blieben.

Tips for Reeder 2 for Mac Beta 1
I've been using Reeder 2 on my iPhone for quick scanning Dribbble and konachan for a while, mark some good stuff as unread and check later on my MBP.
Today I downloaded the newly released public beta of Reeder 2 for Mac, after some try I dug the preferences and make some pleasant changes to make scanning resources more comfortable.
In "Reading", turn on "Open links in background"
In "Services", set / remember the shortcut for "Chrome"
So (in default settings) just press "j" to scan through shots and press "b" if you wanna like / download it from web, the original link will be opened in background (which means the focus is still on Reeder) in Chrome.
Just perfect!

Amazing Reeder App for Mac and iPad
Reeder is an RSS reader and client for Fever, Feedbin, Feedly, Feed Wrangler and Readability. It caches articles from your feed so that they can be read later without any Wi-Fi or3G connection. It integrates with a no. of services like Facebook and Twitter, to provide easy accessibility and sharing. Reeder also has gesture controls, news articles to be saved can be swiped to the left, and toes to be read later can be swiped to the right and will be marked as unread.
The Reeder app was created by Silvio Rizzi, a Swiss developer, in late 2009. Then it had highly uniquely customized “sepia” interface that would go on to define the Reeder app brand. The app was made both for speed and with care. Not only was it beautiful but it was genuinely fast, and irrespective of its new UI paradigms was very smooth to handle, compared to other apps in the same space. From the very beginning Reeder focused on letting users share links on other services and networks easily. The success of the Reeder iPhone app led to the launch of the impatiently awaited Reeder for Mac.
The latest version of Reeder, maintains a link with its origins as a client of Google Reader, but with a much improved Readability syncing, more sharing options, and a refreshing new look, it the latest version has a ‘modernized’ look as compared to its predecessors.

Even when a number of voices are clamoring for the death of RSS feeds itself; there are still millions of people who use this media of reading news and sharing articles.
News reading in 2012 is no longer as the same it was when Reeder app was first launched, in 2009. Nowadays, ‘Breaking News’ articles no longer originate from a website’s feed anymore. If propagated via Twitter, the client normally used may not be an ideal choice for link browsing and status updating. Decentralization of news has occurred with both RSS and social media forming the backbone. Though it always connects to much larger system, news reading has become both app-centric and very personal.
Reeder 3.0 is much faster than Reeder 2.0, and has much more advanced sharing capabilities. The new features added are not only sweet to look at, but the handling of the UI has become increasingly smoother. The latest version has been modernized itself with the addition of support for Fever and improved Readability syncing. It does prefer people who have extensively used Google Reader clients and are in their comfort zone customizing sorting options and navigating folders. While support for Fever, reinstates the app’s original objective to give users a better way of sifting through their RSS feed, the Readability feature is symbolic of Rizzi’s desire to target a larger audience.
