So, you may be wondering, "Why feature an app you've already written about multiple times? Isn't that overkill?" Well, yes, in some regards it is, but we feel that Pivvot deserves another shout out – not like they're not getting enough, anyway. 

Besides Pivvot being undeniably gorgeous and uber tricky, the developer has a sense of humor that makes us fall back into love/hate relationship with this game. Check out the poem he wrote in regards to a recent bug in the app:  "A BUGFIX POEM: This bug has caused some problems. This bug has brought me stress. This bug was crazy horrible. I'm sure you're not impressed."

With that endearing bugfix poem and their new, holiday-themed icon, Pivvot is doing a lot of things right in our book.

There's a slight chance that our choice in app may have been swayed by our great desire to post a 'falling baby panda gif' – but only slightly. 

When posed the question, 'Do you want to save baby pandas?' there is only one possible answer – YES! Panda Pop is just about the most adorable game we've played since Disco Bees stole our hearts a few months back. 

Don't be fooled – Panda Pop isn't just another cutesy strategy game. With over 90 levels that become progressively harder, we've found ourselves stuck in tricky situations that only serve to keep us coming back for more. 

Go ahead, we know you want to go save those baby pandas now...

Ever since we downloaded Moves a month or so ago, it's pretty fair to say that we've gained an obsession with the practice of counting our steps. Some may call this 'obsession' strange, but I just put it down to Moves being the most user-friendly and beautifully simple  pedometer app we've come across. 

Really, Moves isn't simply a pedometer. It tracks when you're in transport, how long your at your local coffee shop, AND it doesn't completely and utterly destroy your battery life. 

I mean, the app is supremely beautiful too – what else could you really ask for?

Peek describes itself as a 'one-stop shop to discover and book amazing activities' – and we couldn't agree more! Not only is the app itself ridiculously beautiful, it's full of fun, quirky activities in our home city that we had never even heard of!

Okay, so it's that time of year again when too much of a good thing is never enough. To get your holiday season started off on the right foot, I wanted to toss out a couple of apps that are absolutely and unashamedly over the top. Let's do this.

Plumber Crack by Fluik

If the app name doesn't say it all, the text on the main screenshot in the App Store certainly does: "Throw stuff in his butt!" And while we all know just how much the mayor of Toronto loves crack, this is your chance to get in on the action! Tossing ice cubes is just the beginning - unlock loads of other fun items to throw at people's butts. Oh, and you can dress them up in wacky outfits while you're at it.  

Anchorman 2: Scotchy Scotch Toss by Paramount Digital Entertainment

Since we all love Anchorman and we've become quite fond of tossing ice, why not get a tasty beverage in the mix? Flick ice cubes into a glass to cool down that sweet, sweet scotch in Anchorman 2: Scotchy Scotch Toss. The clever one-liners by Ron Burgundy make this game totally worth it and completely shag-tastic. That is a word, right?
