Here’s my little two cents about the new REEF-LUX kit

I like that it has reefslider because it’s a very offensive type of super, although I really don’t think it synergises well with Splashwall.

I was kind of hoping they’d just go full offensive with it and give it fizzy bomb and reef slider, or splat bomb/burst bomb and reef slider. Hell, fucking angle shooter or torpedo would’ve been a better choice to put with it, but they went with splash wall.

That isn’t to say that I hate splash wall though. If used correctly, splash wall can be very useful in defensive scenarios. Maybe using it to block off people for a temporary moment, or to just shield yourself for a second, and use that moment to splat some people. Or to just distract someone, but I just really don’t think it works well with a super like reefslider. But if it was given a different super maybe, like inkzooka or triple ink strike, maybe even killer wail 5.1, I think that also would work well.

In conclusion, I’m not overtly angry about how this thing turned out, and I lowkey don’t care cuz I don’t really pay attention to REEF-LUX and never really liked it, but when it comes to the bigger picture and REEF mains, I feel like it’s just a little bit disappointing. Overall tho, still excited for next season 👍 hope you guys are too ! ^^
