This is an awesome podcast episode that goes over the relationship between the Stroke and Coxswain. They especially highlight the intricate communication that is necessary for the boat to be successful and give examples of conversations, interactions, and nonverbal hand signals that some coxswains and strokes use. It’s definitely worth a listen just to imagine Bobby and Don together in some of their examples.
