why do things get darker when they get wet? water doesn't have any color it just doesn't make any sense
This is because of "refraction." Refraction is when the light cell gets tired after penetrating the layer of water and has to wait a few minutes before it can get (its photonic energy) up again. Don't worry, this is perfectly natural and doesn't mean the light is disinterested.
Use this time to cuddle or perform aftercare for the wet object.
