The six emblems are placed, the heroes face their foe...
Mariah Carey stands before them, repeating the song yet again.
"I don't want a lot for christmas,"
The heroes raise their hands and the blizzard returns. Engulfing the entire stage.
"There is just one thing I need."
The heroes grit their teeth with determination, focusing the ritual, Mariah Carey's eyes glow bright.
"I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree."
A wave of her power blasts the heroes back, the blizzard's cold biting at their hands, they quickly return to their places, resuming the ritual despite the throes of the for before them.
She points to one of the heroes in particular, frost climbing their legs.
"I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know..."
They are frozen in place, still focusing on the ritual, they've come so far.
Her eyes brighten as Mariah twists her finger at them.
"Make my wish come true, all I want for chistmas..."
The ice grows around the one hero's feet, climbing after the frost.
"Is you."
Lights from unknown sources blare as Mariah begins dancing, her own feet frozen to the ground, but at risk of breaking as she performs.
The heroes stand their ground, one by one singled out and partially frozen, but six is just enough heroes to avoid complete failure.
By the end the ice around Mariah is able to contain her... But only for another year as the heroes recover.
