yes…..YES!!!!!!!! (sadly i’ll only talk about the long ass plot here even though the characters are my favorite and the BEST part 💔)
OKAY so since creating it I’ve realized the premise is….a little like avatar? but i did NOT steal it from there because i’ve never seen it
anyway it’s set in the near-ish future, and there are four countries divided because of the fact that humans are now born with powers
the 4 main powers are fire, water, earth, and weather, and the respective nation capitals are smokestack, river city, ivysville, and sunnyside (the countries are also each based off a specific time period: late 1890s/early 1900s, modern day, medieval times, and the 1950s :3)
and all of the countries obviously hate each other, so they are all super far away from each other and they never talk or meet or whatever
HOWEVER, at one point a man from smokestack and a woman from river city fall in love and have a child (the drama of that is the plot of knaves). Unfortunately because of this they are killed, but manage to hide their child (amity) with the man’s mother, and she’s raised in smokestack hiding the water half of her powers and only showing the fire part
but one day, when amity is 17, she overhears the president of their nation (blaise, who is a major character in knaves and was in love with her dad so he hates her on a personal level) talking about a surprise attack he wants to launch on the other countries so he can take them over
so basically amity tries to warn people about this, so they send people to her house to arrest her, where she has to use her water powers to defend herself, which shows people that she’s a hybrid……which is REALLY bad, so to avoid being killed she runs away and decides to go warn the other nations
she goes to river city, where she runs into her future wife marina, who warns her that talking to their president when she’s a hybrid would ABSOLUTELY get her killed, even if her intentions are good. so, marina agrees to help her try to warn the king of ivysville next
in ivysville, they are almost IMMEDIATELY captured by this grumpy depressed kid who says his name is thorne, and says he’s gonna turn them into the king (because they’re outsiders) for money. however, once amity tells him that BLAISE is trying to capture them, he gets this terrified look on his face (long story short but people who work for blaise killed his entire family while he watched when he was a kid) and starts untying them, explaining that the king won’t listen no matter what they have to say, because he thinks no one could ever touch ivysville, so they should try their luck in sunnyside
amity and marina drag him on their journey even though he doesn’t wanna go because he knows the way to sunnyside so yay forced friendship :333
when they get to sunnyside, they meet THORNE’S future wife named harper, who’s immediately very friendly and excited to meet them and is apparently unaware that the countries are enemies at all. anyway, she brings them to their president, who dismisses their warnings immediately, and banishes them for “disturbing the peace”
so, the four of them end up going back to smokestack to challenge blaise themselves, and they eventually get blaise to surrender and yay they stop his evil plans!!!
amity gains control of smokestack and through lots and lots of time and effort manages to unite all the countries into one big nation!!!!!!!!
