We are all born under the same stars. Mi casa es su casa - my home is your home. Designed in response to the current hatred towards people of different backgrounds to our own. All profits from the sale of this t-shirt will be split between nine charities; eight of which are aiding families and children currently facing separation and persecution at the US border (full list of charities here), along with a contribution to The UN Refugee Agency. This is a limited run available to pre-order at Everpress from now until the 1st July. T-shirt orders will be printed and shipped in early July with them arriving at your doorstep before Trump’s official UK visit on Friday 13th (should you need a protest T-shirt of sorts for the occasion). Available now at: https://everpress.com/mi-casa-es-su-casa

#CBeebiesRadio presents four stories based on the real life experiences of refugee families and told from the perspectives of young children for #RefugeeWeek2018: bbc.in/2M2IBDs @CBeebiesHQ
Growing up we've always been told stories that our family comes from revolutionaries, war heroes and freedom fighters. From educators to engineers to troublemakers to beauties (it's us beauties who are also the troublemakers). This Refugee Week we are reminded that there are those in this world who would reduce us to a single word, 'immigrant', 'refugee', 'minority', those who dare to look down on us when in reality its just an accident of time, place and luck that any of us are born where we are and when we are! We constantly think about these immigrant, refugee, minority children who generations from now who will be telling their grandchildren about how they fled with their families in a small boat on a large sea, everything left behind. How they had to learn another language and attend a new school. How kids were mean to them on the playground and how they had to work hard to feel accepted and have a sense of belonging. How they had to begin over and over again, regardless, repeatedly. How hard WE worked to survive and thrive. We all carry with us family, stories, courage and heart, it is who we are. Help us imagine this Refugee Week what we could be. Please share your real-life stories of suffering, courage and adaptability beyond almost anything that even the best screenwriters can write or imagine. This is us, perhaps it's your story too #simpleacts http://refugeeweek.org.uk/simple #refugees #refugeeswelcome #simpleacts #refugeeweek2018 #refugeeweek
