also, not to butt into someone else's conversation but the concept of a "gold star lesbian" is gross considering women who realize they are lesbians later on in life. that doesn't make them any less valid or important.
Yeah, I just edited my response to add basically just that. I am not a fan of the term “gold star gay/lesbian” for that reason.
