I teared twice reading @vivatregina's oh so lovely, sincere, incredibly thorough reply to my comments on her post. Some inhuman shit stain was trying to drag her (and failing spectacularly but it was entertaining) and I couldn't standby and let this creepy, obsessed weirdo bring so much hate to such a nice post of Regina thanking voters for choosing her grandpa. I know she knows her true worth and who she is, so I wasn't worried about what some petty, cowardly anon said about her, but I did want to confess how much her eloquent, raw, inspiring words have led me to take the @aaww_nyc novel writing workshop and be able to write publicly about my depression and psychoses. For the workshop, you're supposed to fictionalize your life and I choose to write about my mental illness to destigmatize it and as a Filipina American woman who you don't see in the media. Regina gave me that fortitude through her brave words and even more so with her incredible comment. She has always made me want to write and now I'm more encouraged than ever to complete this novel! I cannot wait to read her new column "lost in the world" every Sunday. It'll be good to be immersed in her fantastic words again. And big shout out and much gratitude to an insignificant, cringeworthy speck @bigberetta45. If it wasn't for your useless waste of space, I wouldn't have confessed how much @vivatregina means to me! Thanks boo boo 😘 #reginabelmonte #goals #heroine #favoritewriter #inspiration #whatasweetheart
