I'm not often proud of things I've done. I'm always my worst critic and never satisfied because I always strive to make things as perfect as could be. This applies especially to my writing.

I finished this story yesterday night after carrying it around with me where ever I went for three months. It was inspired by a drawing my dear friend @verrueckte_geisterdame did of me and Elton John in a record store. Originally it was intended as a one shot, just a wee fluffy story. But then I got carried away. 😄

I don't often say I'm proud of something, but I am proud of this story. I think nothing I've written has ever been so close to my heart and I've never done so much research for a story. I tried to stay as true to the late 60s/early 70s and Elton's story as I could, but it's of course still a piece of fiction. 😉

EDIT: I maybe should have given a short summary to the story. Most important: it's not about me and it's a story on friendship. It's also about Elton's work at Tin Pan Alley and his rise to fame. 😊
