Having a very mundane, very long weekend. It is amazing.

On Friday I got a massage. Then I got lunch with my kiddo and we went to a hobby store and a very nice lady helped me get supplies for a jewelry project. Then we got hair dye. Went to my neighbor's house and hung out while she taught us jewelry making basics, we had pizza and watched Buffy and I went home with my finished piece.

On Saturday, the trees for the front yard were planted (another neighbor recommended this nursery). Then I got donuts, went to the farmer's market and got 4 rose bushes. Went home and ate donuts with the fam, planted the rose bushes and put down a bunch of mulch. The weather was nice so kept going - took a weed tree down and a thicket of honeysuckle. Kids dyed their hair.

Sunday started off a bit lazier since it was raining - but enjoyed coffee and cake by the window and looking at the new trees. Went to a garden store and picked up some new (smaller) trees to plant in the new free space. Went out for tacos. Watched a movie (Beautiful Boy) and cried. Then watched another movie (Everything's is Illuminated) and ate warm brownies with ice cream my kiddo made.

Today is Monday - still a long weekend- spent most of it outside. Planted the trees. Worked on getting rid of more honeysuckle. Made lunch with my husband and hung outside with the dogs and the kids. Snuggled up with the dogs and one of my kids and watched/napped through Howl's Moving Castle while my other kid put together a dresser. My husband is fixing up the bikes for summer riding, we're drinking homemade watermelon aqua fresca, listening to music, smoking a chicken.

Nothing too wild and crazy. Just fun regular stuff. Also, talk to your older neighbors - it is good for you and them.
