The impressive Reichsburg Castle in Cochem (Germany), first built around 1100 AD.
Reichsburg Castle Overlook
Die Reichsburg Cochem sits on a hilltop, overlooking the Mosel river and is surrounded by vineyards. It had its first documentary mention in 1130. You get to go inside the gates only as part of the official Cochem Castle Tour. Most tours are held in German but an English information sheet will be given. There are English language tours at 12 pm and 5 pm.
Hours: March through November 10 am-5 pm. Fee: Adults: €6, Children (6-17): €3, Students: €5, Family Ticket (2 adults + children): €16. Address: Schlossstraße 36, 56812 Cochem, Rheinland -Pfalz, Southwestern Germany
