reign hung up the phone call, setting the device down on the kitchen countertop just in time to hear the front door open. there was a bounce in her step as she meandered her way to meet her girlfriend, and she dramatically threw her arms open as soon as she saw her. "thank god you're back." she'd filled her time with some sketching ideas and little tasks, but it had been a slow afternoon. "i ordered pizza for dinner." it probably didn't need to be announced the way she did it, just like it also probably didn't need to be followed by another announcement that had absolutely no correlation whatsoever.
