Favorite thing about them:
“...That despite everything, she’s still here. That she hasn’t gotten tired of me, or dissatisfied with me, that despite all my flaws she lo—” She comes to an abrupt halt as the word almost slips out of her mouth. Face twisting into a pained grimace, a hand raises to clutch at her chest.
“That she...cares about me enough to put up with all the awful shit that comes with being who and what I am. That she’ll do whatever it takes to help me, to pull me out of the pit of despair I so often throw myself into.”
“...That she’d give the world for me and then some...How can I be worth all that?”
Least favorite thing about them:
“She’s been...lacking, ever since she got back. I hate seeing her like this, so drained. I’ve seen a lot over the years—over the centuries spent with her...From her struggles through the coils, confronting her own demons, the assimilation of thousands of souls into her own life force, the PTSD, the dissociation, the depression...”
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to give up on her. That’s something I’ll never do. Not after all we’ve been through...” She’s silent for a moment as her gaze falls to the floor.
“It just hurts seeing her like this, so devoid of life. Like she’s empty, hollowed out.” At the mention, her eyes sharpen considerably as her somber gaze turns into a full blown glare.
“If I find the one responsible for this, be they a person, object, thing...a spirit, demon, or god...even if it was the will of the universe itself that made this happen, that took away her fire...that desecrated what’s mine.” Her voice is a low growl as she speaks, the energy around her reflecting the rage within—a bloodlust that could hardly be contained, spilling forth into the surrounding air as dichromatic fire.
“I will tear its very existence free from reality itself. Time, space, history, nothing will stop me from annihilating the very concept of its existence from this world. That, I promise you.”
