ReixSenpai Week Day 4: Sera Tadanori’s Theory of Chaos: The Butterfly Effect Part 2 (End)
Prompt/s: Butterfly Effect + “I don’t normally do this…” [reixsenpai]
Pairing: Sera Tadanori x Ryugazaki Rei
After a year’s worth of delay, the last part of Sera Tadanori’s Theory of Chaos: The Butterfly Effect is finished! Part 1 is here!
In my mind, I’ve always envisioned Sera-senpai to be a very understanding and supportive senpai. It’s always been my headcanon that he was there during Rei’s last jump. The butterfly over Sera-senpai (from Part 1) was actually a symbolism of that moment. :D
I dedicate this to the anon who was asking for the 2nd part who's probably not but could still be stardustandsilverbridges.
Alsoooo... for those who are wondering, this is the scene Gou accidentally saw. Particularly the 27th panel lol
Starting from the back as I always do, Haruka x Rei, set in the samurai era (but not necessarily related to my samurai AU). Sorry, I was too lazy to finish my illustration but rest assured, it was very sexy.
Haruka/Rei, for the reixsenpai prompt butterfly pavilion, samurai AU, rated teen, to be rated mature after I finish the drawing (i.e. never) 807 words
read at ao3 here.
The sun glittered off the fine transparent threads of the web, as the spider delicately traversed across the silk strand, causing the web to sway gently. Only a short distance away, one of the myriad of colorful butterflies that lived in this pavilion garden flitted back and forth, ever closer to a beautiful impending death.
Paused in his reading aloud, Rei watched in dread, before he decided he could not refrain from interference and he reached over to shoo the butterfly away from the web that would surely entangle its delicate wings. Hand outstretched, he made a gentle waving motion, then suddenly felt something cold and wet brush against his neck. Startled enough to yelp aloud, Rei whipped his head around to find Haruka, holding a dripping ink brush and staring at him in quiet curiosity.
“Why did you stop reading, Rei?” Haruka asked simply.
“Ah, I got distracted. My apologies, Haruka-senpai!” Out of the corner of his eye, Rei noticed in dismay that his effort was for naught. The butterfly had gotten itself entangled in the web. The spider was slowly approaching.
“Wh-where was I?” Rei murmured anxiously, scanning the page for where he last left off, eager to move on with the tale of romance and adventure. For Haruka once said he liked the sound of Rei’s voice, and nothing made Rei happier than these stolen peaceful moments alone in the pavilion, reading aloud while Haruka painted.
“It’s fine, Rei.” Haruka touched cool fingers to the small blotch of ink that stained Rei’s skin, right over his collarbone. In silence, he spread the drying ink out in elegant lines with his fingertips while Rei watched, breath held.
Beautiful, he thought in awe. Everything Haruka touched became beautiful, no matter how dark and ugly. How he adored Haruka, so, so much, how he treasured every moment he spent in the light that shone from his hero and idol.
“May I continue?” Haruka asked, having retrieved his brush and inkstone from his workspace.
“Of course!” Rei answered, and shyly lowered the collar of his kimono down over his shoulders. He blushed when Haruka lightly tugged his kimono down further, exposing the bare skin of his back to the spring breeze. But Haruka dove immediately into his painting, this time using Rei’s skin as his silk, running the brush over his shoulders and back with skillful strokes. All the while, Rei strove to stay perfectly still, not even daring to breathe more than the shallowest breath. This was a bit of an unusual move from Haruka, who always did his own thing, so long as it did not really involve contact with others, but Rei dared not disturb his concentration by asking pointless questions that would not be answered.
If only he could see what Haruka was painting across his back… What a pity that he did not have a mirror with him.
At last, Haruka paused in his painting, and Rei glanced over his shoulder, catching only a blurry tracery of black lines across pale skin through the lenses of his glasses.
“Haruka-senpai? Have you finished?”
“I think… I could do more.” With no further explanation, Haruka laid down his brush and reached around to tug at the knot of Rei’s obi, undoing it so that his kimono fell open. “Now lay on your stomach, Rei.”
Nodding red-faced, Rei spread his kimono on the grass before him, then lay on the silk, resting his chin on his forearms. Above him, Haruka adjusted Rei’s long thick hair over his shoulder, exposing the nape of his neck as well. This time, Rei could not hold back the small shudders, as ink dripped wetly over his neck, down his spine, pooling in the small of his back. He gasped softly when he felt Haruka’s hands adjust his undergarment, sliding them over his buttocks, down his legs. Trembling in anticipation, goosebumps mottling his flesh, as swirls and dabs of ink decorated his thighs and calves.
“Beautiful,” he thought he heard Haruka breathe out. He turned his head slightly when he noticed the rustle of blue silk slide to the grass on his right, and then Haruka was leaning down next to him, pressing his lips to Rei’s.
“The ink needs to dry, so please stay still for a little while longer.”
“Of course, Haruka-senpai.”
He said nothing when he felt Haruka’s hands caressing his body, his shoulderblades, his waist, his thighs, surely smudging the work of art he had just created. The transience of such fleeting beauty was art itself, Rei thought heatedly. What they were creating here, out of inspiration and movement and love, this was art. He was merely the medium, Haruka was the creator. Understanding that, Rei took the spirit of Haruka’s brilliance into him with pleasure. So much pleasure… He thought he could die.

ReixSenpai Week Day 4: Sera Tadanori’s Theory of Chaos: The Butterfly Effect Part 1
Prompt/s: Butterfly Effect + “I don’t normally do this…” [reixsenpai]
Pairing: Sera Tadanori x Ryugazaki Rei
Have I ever mentioned I love SeraRei? Anyways, the Butterfly Effect is a part of the chaos theory where something as little as the flap of a butterfly’s wings can cause the weather pattern to change and for example create a storm on the other side of the world-- hence, chaos.
This story is pretty long and won’t fit in 10 images so it has a continuation which I’m still working on btw! ReixSenpai Week might be over but I’m going to at least finish all/most of the couple days soooo... yeah. Look forward to them? :D
School is just around the corner so ReixSenpai week entries might be my last comics in a while. >w<;;
We are now on the last day of Rei x Senpai week, but that doesn’t mean we are not accepting late submissions! You may take your time, but please remember to use the tags #reixsenpai or #reixsenpaiweek in your first five tags so we’ll know when you have a submission!
Once again, thank you for participating and all the support!
For today we have 2 + Butterfly, or in simpler terms, the trio day! Here you can pair up Rei with two of his senpai(e.g. Rin x Rei x Haruka). There’s no limit to the combinations so please do enjoy working on the prompts!
Day 6 - HaruRei - “You’ve got something on your...”
Rating: G
Rei stood outside the art classroom waiting for Haruka. He always waited on Wednesdays because their last classes before practice were right next to each other. Rei, always punctual Rei, was usually left waiting for a few minutes as Haruka cleaned up after himself and talked with his art classmates.
As he stepped out of the classroom, bag in hand, Rei was checking his watch for the tenth time.
"Sorry Rei, I know you don't like it when I'm late."
Rei waved his hand. "True, it is one of my pet peeves, but I must learn to be more lenient. It doesn't bother me as much as it used to. I still wait for you every Wednesday, don't I?"
"You do."
"See? I'm becoming more tolerant of tardiness!" Rei placed his hands triumphantly on his hips.
Haruka stared at him, his expression blank. "Can we go? I wanna swim."
Rei blushed, his arms falling in embarrassment. "Yes, of course, Haruka-senpai! I'm sorry for delaying us even further!"
"It's fine. Let's just go." Haruka turned away from him and started down the hallway, Rei following close behind.
-----
Rei and Haruka reached the pool to discover that Nagisa and Makoto had already changed and were waiting for them poolside.
"I'm so sorry we're late, Makoto-senpai!" Rei bowed deeply.
"It's no problem, Rei! Just go get changed so we can start." Makoto smiled, eager to start practice.
Rei took off to the change room while Haruka stripped his clothes off right on the deck of the pool. Rei heard him dive in as he changed into his legskins. Once he was ready, Rei deposited his clothes in the locker and grabbed his goggles. He emerged from the change room and moved over to the pool, jumping in to get accustomed to the water before doing any rigorous training.
Rei glanced over at Haruka who currently faced away from him, conversing with Makoto about something Rei couldn't hear. He knew that he should leave them alone to have their conversation in private, but Rei happened to notice a short line of blue on the back of Haruka's neck. He crept closer for an investigation, but he couldn't tell what it was. He pressed onward through the water, getting close enough to engage Haruka in conversation.
"Haruka-senpai, you have something on your neck."
"Hm? What is it?" he asked calmly.
"I don't know, but it's blue." Rei looked closer, and Makoto glanced at the spot as well. "Actually, it looks like paint."
"Oh, I was using oil paints in art class today. I must have missed that." Haruka raised his hand to wipe at the back of his neck, just missing the streak of paint.
"Allow me, Haruka-senpai." Rei wet his hand in the water and began to wipe at Haruka's neck, the blue blemish quickly diminishing to something less noticeable, though not completely gone. "I'm sorry, Haruka-senpai, I can't remove it entirely."
Haruka shrugged. "It's alright. Oil paint is hard to get off. I'll get the rest later with proper cleaner," He graced Rei with one of his rare smiles. "but thank you for your help, Rei." Haruka held eye contact with him for a moment before dipping under the water to swim toward the end of the pool once again.
