Any thoughts and recommendations on boosts, primarily clean boosts?

Yeah, I love having on on my board. It’s super useful for helping out struggling dirt pedals and I also tend to use it when my clean tone needs a little more output for tapping and stuff. I’m currently using my °red sun fx Moon Boost which is a sort of mosfet clean boost that I like a lot because it also adds a sparkliness to my tone. It can make a flat or woofy dirt pedal have a tad more clarity too but it also just has a shit load of boost on tap.

I’ve also used a few SHO Clones and I’ve always like them. The MXR Micro Amp can pull of some solid boosting if you need it too and another cheap option is running an EHX Soul Food as a clean boost. Or similar low gain transparent drives.

There are a lot out there and a huge chunk are solid. So try and get your hands on one to play with. I liked the Pigtronix Class A boost too when I played one.

My favorite tone ever is still a Musket fuzz being ran into a wide open clean boost. It actually destroyed Alderaan.

Do you have any thoughts on compressors? I'm looking at a JHS Pulp N' Peel vs. Walrus Audio Deep Six, but I'm open to other suggestions.

The Deep Six and the Diamond comp are my favorites for sure. I got rid of them because I don’t think I need one with mu Rockerverb. But I had both the Diamond and the Deep Six. I like the Diamond for the EQ tilt and the Deep Six is nice because you can get the attack and blend perfect.

So they are both great for different things.

14, 40, 80?

14. No, I can’t drive a stick shift. I was learning but then the guy who was teaching me (my boyfriend at the time) and I broke up. I never finished learning. But the first vehicle I ever drove was a stick shift.

40. I had a great evening yesterday (July 3rd)!

80. I’m going to a birthday party tomorrow (July 5th)!
