How do you think Ki’anya gets along with the other Angels? Is she competitive? Does she prank people? Who does she like to work with?
When she first came to the Angels in her mid-teens, Ki’anya much preferred to duck her head and make as little of a splash as possible. It was easy enough to get lost in the shuffle of a couple hundred soldiers, and her position as a stealth operative made it easy to work alone. She really would only ever have to talk to the head of the division.
She grew up learning that adults tended not to take her seriously, or tried to make decisions for her. After all, her parents just sent her to a boarding school once they decided that they had had enough of her attitude. One of the reasons that she stuck with the Angels was because Hes essentially put a blaster in her hands and told her that she could make a difference. No one had ever really said that before.
She starts warming up way more when she comes to realize that as long as you’re willing to fight, you have a place in the Angels -- and having a place was something that she never had before. While she is a little hesitant to trust adults that haven’t earned it, Ki’anya tends to naturally gravitate toward younger recruits and people her own age. Most of them have the same streak of rebellion and recklessness that she does, and she fits right in with them.
Of course, when she gets older she becomes more confident in herself and really settles in among the Angels. (The far-more-sure-of-herself version that I’ve been drawing.) She’s way more willing to put herself out there and meet people as they join, though she tends to get along with people better if they approach her first.
She absolutely develops a competitive streak as an Angel. She certainly isn’t the best marksman (not that she’d ever admit it), but few people can beat her aim with a grappling hook or her time to break a lock. She knows her limits but will absolutely bluff her abilities, especially around friendly rivals. Challenge her to any sort of contest and she just can’t say no. Suffice it to say she’s lost more than a couple bets doing this, but she’s a good sport about it.
Ki’anya isn’t much one for pranks. Her idea of mischief is pretty much limited to raiding Hes’s personal stash of snack food and (mostly) getting away with it. However, if she were to get a partner in crime who knew what they were doing she would probably be down for it!
As a random fact, Ki’anya really idolizes snipers. They combined stealth, which she shines at, but can also fight very effectively from a longer range. With the really good ones, she low-key hero worships them and gets a little flustered talking to them.
